My apologies, I know it has been weeks since writing but with the weather finally breaking and visitors in town, time was at a premium. However, there has been no shortage of RCSC-related happenings. We won't belabor any of them, because like us, we know being outside when it is 70 degrees is the exact reason many of us live here. We will try and break this into snippets of all of the changes so you can pick and choose the things that are of interest to you.

A Voice in the Wilderness
I guess it's just me that cares about Robert's Rules of Order, and I think that opinion will be validated by the lack of comments/replies this thread will receive!
When I read the article in the Independent today (7.18) regarding "Pickleball at Lakeview" it just drove me crazy...again!

OPINIONS: Lehrer: Change coming, misinformation muddles process in Sun City
In case you aren't a paid subscriber to The Sun City Independent (you should be) or you don't get a free, "thrown" copy in your driveway, this is the article that Bill P. is referring to in his blog posted in this edition - Misinformation? Disinformation? - Hmm, calling it so doesn't mean it's so.
Posted
After several months and just a bit of a rocky start, I think we can all agree that there have been a number of improvements as we reach the half-year point.
Dialogue between Recreation Centers of Sun City members and the board of directors continues to improve. The member/board exchange is still a work in process, but I am confident that your input matters and every item and suggestion will be acted upon as appropriate.

Part 2: Member Board Exchange, May 9th, 2022
As
I write this, there are almost 700 views of this meeting. Fantastic!!
Jean, here, stepping in to finish up the Member Board Exchange meeting on May 9th. Bill is off pounding the keys at Talk of Sun City and in his new role as an administrator for the Facebook group, Sun City Chat, so I’ll try to fill in the blanks.
To follow our last email “teaser” to you --- Did they listen to us? --- with this edition entitled, “are YOU listening to them?” has me pointing out a few comments that I heard, some by members, some by the Board. This is not picking on anyone; this is not finding fault; this is not hatred; this is me making observations. About what was said. (And what wasn’t said.) Out loud. Stated by me. Not hiding behind an Anonymous or Unknown title.

$$$$ MONEY – WHO DOESN’T LIKE MONEY? $$$$$
I’ve never met a soul that didn’t like money. How about you?
· I
came away from the Board meeting on Thursday, March 31st pretty
upset about what I had just witnessed.
· While I will be the first one to tell you that I have never paid too much attention to our Management Reports or Financials (Balance Sheet/Statement of Income and Expenses) – mostly because I didn’t understand them – I DID understand what was said and am appalled at what I heard.

Regarding the article in the March 21st Independent, “RCSC meeting format changed.”
Unraveling a disaster
Where does one start to unravel the disaster of that Reconsidered motion? First of all, Director McAdam was correct that the motion to Reconsider was out of order because it was required to be reconsidered at the meeting in which it was presented (see RONR 37:10). Second, the monthly meetings are just that. Each one is a meeting and each one is considered a session because the entire order of
