Ideas of your own:
- Only after residents get their tee times and they should always pay 2X more than members
- Residents are not paying their full share to golf. Resident rates should be raised. Non-resident rates should be competitive with area courses such as SC Country Club and Palmbrook
- Only residents and guests of residents should be allowed to play. Non-residents should always pay more than members.
- I feel Sun City Residents should take priority in getting tee times. I am no longer a golfer but I feel our residents moved here for that privilege. That being said they can't wait till the last minute they must plan ahead as the courses need to be able to sustain their selves. I feel that the rates non-residents pay should be equal to what they would pay for similar courses in the valley. Not sure this helps but yes residents first when it comes to tee times. I love seeing the high schools playing our courses and Junior programs but these need to be set at not prime times when residents prefer to play. The courses are a business and need to break even or make a profit but not with subsidized help from RCSC.
- "Yes outside players' price comparable to golf in the area (but not less than residents) Tee times three days ahead"
- From the Jan 26. 2023 RCSC management report there were 15,065 rounds played by non-resident pass holders. On the financial report, the income from those pass holders was $319,581. The resulting average cost per round for those non-residents is $21.22. And that includes a cart! Subtracting the $15 cart value means these non-residents are only paying $6.21 per round. Plus they get to reserve prime tee times and carts 5 days in advance. Bill Cook claimed that these players won't buy the pass if the cart is extra and recommended continuing free carts.
- Allow residence to book a tee time five days prior to nonresidence four days prior
- Non-residents can golf, can pre-book 4 days in advance, and pay more.
- I don't golf, so it's up to them who do.
- I do not think non-residents should be in bowling or golf. This is a private community

Leave it up to the golfers to make these decisions. We already have way too many busy-bodies with too many opinions who have never stepped foot on a Sun City golf course. Since your group is definitely anti-golf you are the last people who should be in this conversation, although I doubt that you can butt out of anything because your egos believe you know it all and know better that anyone else.
I've given up caring about the money pit golf is here. The some 5000 golfing members of our community have Carte Blanche with the RCSC. Other groups have to beg for years to get improvements and basic maintenance.
It's time for SC's non-golfers to start realizing the importance of golf overall to our community and how it enhances our area. As members, we are being cheated by outsiders by both cost and tee time priority
Non-golfing residents should not be subsidizing Sun City golf to make it cheap
Let them make tee times ONE day before, not three, not five. And get rid of the packages for non-members.
Open course paths to walkers and dog walkers when no golf is to be played as it would help disturb the coyotes and they may move on.
This should not even be a question, of course, residents should always get their tee times, and whatever is left can go to outsiders. If the golf course needs upgrades, or building we the homeowners pay not the outsiders.
The tee time process needs to be fair to all and non-members should pay significantly more.
The expression is "I could NOT care less".
"Unless they are a ""proven"" guest of a Sun City resident, and residents MUST play with the guest.
Absolutely NO Golf Now! Should be paying a higher fee than residents. Unless a guest, then a guest fee.
Non-residents may not apply for a tee time, for same-day play, until after 9:30 a.m. NO advanced scheduling/applying for a tee time other than same-day play."
"Greens fees NEED TO GO UP
We have the only golf courses in America operating at a loss
Many in the community can not afford to subsidize golf - at my calculations, over $100.00 of my rec fees go to golf and I am disabled and poor."
We don't golf but our friends do.
I am not a golfer. But if I were, I should think my status as homeowner would entitle me to be put before those who are not
Non-members with passes should only be able to book tee times 3 days in advance
I am not a golfer but find number one the right answer.
I don't golf, but feel that residents should always have the first pick of tee times. Non-residents should always pay more to use the courses.
The current system is not working, for many of our golfers. We cannot get T times, or can only get times late in the afternoon or very very early.
It is definitely not fair that non-residents get a break in price. They should have to pay fair market value. Residents deserve a break, not non-residents.
Members must make tee times by x time before slots open to non-members. Reserve Men's and Ladies' day hours for member play only. Non-members must pay a higher fee. Non-residents are needed to help pay for maintenance on the courses.
I think we should also limit outside play to after 11:00 am
Golf is a declining sport in SC. As I recommended 5 years ago shut down 27 holes and convert the property to other uses.
A very important issue to address! When Management increased the nonresident no-fee pass in August, our Director of Golf and/or General Manager said that they wanted to have six months of data to determine if the increase resulted in less passes sold. It will soon be the end of those six months, so let's look at the data. From what I have read, RCSC has continued to sell lots of non-residents no-fee passes. Let's brainstorm some solutions. The most obvious one is to increase the fee again. This time, let's change it so the nonresidents can only book tee times FOUR DAYS in advance to allow RCSC Members first choice. This isn't rocket science!
When golf courses are redesigned, they should be done in a manner allowing for more multiple uses, esp. for walking. A designated Par 3 pitch and putt course would allow for those no longer able to hit the long drives to play and would be safe for walkers around the periphery. They tell walkers they can use the courses before the first and after the last tee time, but I know the latter doesn't work well since the watering system goes off around that time. Also, the Snack Shops should have loyalty punch cards for all members to encourage more use and they should be redesigned not to overlook parking lots but views. For example, the pro shop at Talisman would make a charming coffee shop with its raised elevation and window views rather than looking at carts and black top.
The outside golf pass should be a much higher cost than what is charged now. Our golf is the cheapest in the area and still would be even if the price were raised by $1,000.00
I don't play golf but it seems only fair to take care of our own first
I don't play golf but think since we do have people living here that play then they should always come first for tee times.
I think non-residents should pay A LOT more. It should be at least competitive with other courses in the area. And they should pay more for cart rental too.
"The outsiders should pay, at minimum, 50% higher greens fees than residents. In addition, they should not be awarded premium tee times. Perhaps limiting them to 10:00 AM or later is a solution?
I would also suggest the board, or Brian Duthu, inform golfers loud music is disqualifying. Big band, blues, rock, or rap....I don't care. It is a golf course, not a concert hall. I don't want to share your musical tastes either on the course or in our yard. "

Thanks. Great education for the community. Regardless if we agree or not we get a sense of what the OWNERS think. Just what SC Advocates intended to be. Well done.
It's too bad the RCSC wasn't this straightforward with questions like these in their survey. Every day that passes with the current policy in place is yet another day the non-members can buy a a cheap golf pass and be guaranteed a year of taking our tee times at a fraction of the cost. No self-respecting Sun City resident should ever support or endorse those kinds of actions. NEVER!
